Here's What We're Wanting to Do

Help Us Replace Our Signage

As you can see, the signs in front of our high school, junior high, and elementary school are in dire need of an upgrade.

We would love to replace these aged and outdated signs with electronic reader board messaging. This digital signage is costly and our estimates for the three signs, collectively, is in the $80,000 range.

As a Sheffield City Schools supporter we are asking for your partnership in helping secure these signs, as your donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated. These boards will not only inform our parents and community of upcoming events, but may serve as a potential revenue stream with advertising sales.

Logo Design by Selene Stanton

We asked our students to submit logos for this marketing campaign. Selene Stanton created what we considered to be the best design. We’re super proud of all our students and congratulations to Selene!

The fundraising campaign kicked off in November with an electronic billboard featuring our SCS partners–City of Sheffield, Sheffield Utilities, Muscle Shoals Sound Studio and Helen Keller Hospital. The board is located on Nathan Blvd., facing south, just before O’Neal Bridge.

Pardon Our Progress

We’re looking toward the future and plans are being carried out now to assure that generations of students for years to come have the facilities and instructional programming needed for success in this 21st century world.

Currently, extensive renovations are underway at the high school with the auditorium being revamped along with both floor levels of the building. Plans for stadium renovations are also in the works.

The needs are great. We’re forging ahead to meet as many of our physical facility challenges as possible, with the understanding that our students deserve to have a strong sense of pride in all aspects of our district.
